We have put together some very frequently asked questions about Page Space from a buyers perspective. However if your question is not listen, please use the contact us option at the top of the page.
- Do I have to use That.co.uk to write the content that I give to the seller?
- Why can't I see the url of sites I want my link to be placed on?
- Will I be able to see the url before the content goes live?
1) The short answer to that is no, you can use whoever you like to write your content. Of course we have writers able to perform the task if needed but the content writing side of that.co.uk is treated totally separate from Page Space.
2) We don't show the url's because Google will index the sites and penalise the site and any link that is placed on it. Yes we could use a robots.txt file to block Google but the feedback from link buyers and sellers is that Google will ignore that and index them anyway. It is again Google's webmaster guidelines to buy and sell links on your site in order to manipulate search results.
Of course Google have no problems with people buying their way to the top of the search engines, they have Adwords for that. What peeves them off is that they don't get a cut from people doing it on sites like this. This is why we don't index the sites, to keep Google out and the benefit of using Page Space to boost your search results to a maximum.
3) Yes, once you have selected a site, at the final stage of the process once the seller has validated that they would allow your content on their site, we then show you the url. At this point you can decline to proceed if you do not like the site on which you are buying a link.
You will be refunded the money should you not wish to proceed once you know of the url. However to stop data mining of our site, we have a limit on the amount of declines that buyers can do on our site. We will advise members accordingly before any action is taken but ultimately it could lead to suspension of accounts if a problem becomes clear.
